This weekend is the perfect time to dust off the dancing shoes, as the Spinout Revue are back at The Night Owl on Saturday, 22nd February. DJ Lee Grimshaw has the best records from deep funky cuts, 60s garage and R&B, club jazz and mod psych as well as classic Northern Soul floor fillers. He's joined by vocalist Little Miss Mojo, who encapsulates that perfect 60s sound!
You wanted it, we brought it! Back for the first time in 2020 is out legendary club night Le Freak - home of the best funk, soul and disco, switched up with some 1970s and 80s hip hop for good measure. Those with the moves can take part in our dance off at The Get Down, with prizes and glory up for grabs on Friday, 28th February.
For the far-out funk aficionados, Saturday, February 29th is a date for the diaries. Birmingham's five piece funk-fusion band Afroduck are heading to Digbeth, funking up your weekend with enigmatic covers of your favourite funky cuts. Cissy Strut on over to The Night Owl for their gig, and stay for our legendary Dig? Soul and Retro club night after at no extra cost.
Celebrating International Women's Day and Women's History Month, we're bringing you Soul Sisters on Saturday, March 7th. From soul to rock and roll and some of the most ferocious funk tracks, female artists have completely changed history for music, as we think that's a cause for celebration! Join us as DJs play the best female fronted soul, funk, and more with live music from Cate & Co plus visuals, cocktails and more.
