When I first wrote about a new Northern Soul & Motown Club opening in Birmingham here, I thought people might be excited, I had no idea that in 24 hours 20,000 people would have read my post, and they’re still reading it now, this is how passionate soul fans are.

The venue have since announced their opening weekend line-up and tickets have been flying out for all events. The opening night is Friday 17th July and features a fantastic line-up of DJs including the legendary Dave Evison (Wigan Casino/Kings Hall), Clive Jones (Locarno) Little Scottie, Dave Hutchinson, Soul Time Steve, Laurence Proxton, Matt Blackmore and Dave Hughes. The DJs will be playing pure Northern Soul on original vinyl all night long from 9pm to 6am!

The Night Owl have just announced an exclusive competition on their Facebook account asking fans to tell them (via photo, video etc), what Northern Soul means to them entitling their entries ‘THIS IS MY NORTHERN SOUL’, they also have to like and share the competition status on the page.
