Soul Sessions Brum Presents: Malah Palinka + Melts The Band + Mosaic – An Evening Of Funky Goodness
Funky jazz-pop fusion 8-piece Malah Palinka are playing a headline show at Birmingham’s iconic Night Owl venue, with support from local bands Melts The Banc and Mosaic, to celebrate the launch of their new record – Is It Happening Now?
Citing references including Vulfpeck, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Snarky Puppy, the band combine infectious funk grooves, swanky harmonies, and dreamlike lyrics delivered in 3-part harmony. Malah Palinka’s energetic live performances are designed to get people moving and grooving along to their brassy hooks and tight rhythm section. They recently released their first single and music video Baby Who Hurt You? – which is the lead track off their new record.
Expect an evening of swanky instrumental solos, stanky grooves, and maybe a Beyonce cover thrown in for good measure!
