// False Futures //
False Futures are a four piece guitar band from London, formed in 2022. The project began toward the end of 2021 as a DIY recording experiment. The four hail from corners of the UK and met at shows on Londons underground circuit. Each having extremely diverse taste, the group bonded over a mutual appreciation for indie guitar music and rock/&roll groups. Setting sights in that general direction, they draw on influences from a variety of sources, from pop, punk, hip hop, shoegaze and even jazz, with greater importance placed on songwriting over experimental production. Their debut album However will be released in 2023.

// The Crystal Teardrop //
Inspired by a mutual passion for the sights, sounds and creative experimentation of the mid to late 1960s, The Crystal Teardrop, with its unique blend of garage rock, psychedelia and acid folk, is forming. The band’s music demonstrates an innate affection for all things 1966 with influences ranging from classic artists such as The Beatles and The Kinks to West Coast favourites including The Great Society, Love and The Byrds. Rarer cuts from the Nuggets and Pebbles canon are also deeply embedded within the band’s psyche. Alexandra Rose (Disques Vérité, 23rd Tangent) and Stuart Gray (Biff Bang Pow) both regularly DJ vinyl collections sourced from across the globe while Leon Jones’ previous kaleidoscopic exploits with Alfa 9 add an extra dimension to the band dynamic.
