Britpop heroes, Ocean Colour Scene, will play a homecoming show in Birmingham this August Bank Holiday as part of The Páirc Festival 2022. The highly-anticipated show takes place on Friday 26th August at The New Irish Centre in Kings Heath. Tickets are on sale now here!

Best known for their Top 10 hits The Circle and The Day We Caught the Train from 1996’s Moseley Shoals album, Ocean Colour Scene’s rip-roaring live shows have long been one of the most extraordinary sights in modern rock -communal outpourings of hope and joy which boast the most life-affirming sing-a-longs you’ll ever hear.

The band’s story has already become the stuff of legend: a rip-roaring rock’n’folk odyssey set to a backdrop of over 20 years of UK pop culture at its very best. They’ve notched up nine albums, three of which went Top 5 – the aforementioned Moseley Shoals, 1997’s Marchin’ Already and 1999’s One From The Modern – and a run of nine successive Top 20 hit singles, including the now iconic The Riverboat Song.

Ocean Colour Scene’s upcoming show is part of a larger festival, The Páirc Festival, the biggest celebration of Irish music and culture in Birmingham. Taking place from 26th August to 28th August, the lineup boasts huge names such as Imelda May, Finbar Furey, Nathan Carter & more…
